Ghost Sign

Faded signs, peeling paint and interesting trash. The Edge is full of urban decay. Some would say it ugly, but it offers character. Each sign, tag, or discarded personal items has a story. With all the plans for redevelopment, a lot of this "Beautiful Decay" will be lost. Hopefully we can incorporate some of these urban/ industrial elements.

Royal Empress Tree & Graffiti

These plants are resilient! The royal Empress is sometimes called the world's fastest growing tree. In the winter, its branches are covered with furry, pea sized buds, just waiting to burst into huge flowers. At the first sign of spring, the tree explodes with purple blooms. The fragrance is like a cross between gardenia and jasmine.

Maybe these can be planted in green spaces. They grow fast and are beautiful.
