a tale of two very different places.

my initial investigation into the use of various spaces in the immediate proximity of the edge district.

who are they intended for?

the juxtaposition that stood out the most (in my opinion) was the mallory-neely house nestled comfortably beside the juvenile court building

one encounters a sense of quie calm peace; a sense of respite as facade.

but one has to ask how do such varied purposes end up so easily juxtaposed?

to whom do these spaces belong?

how do you define the energy engrained into an area & how is that energy created? developed? refined?

how much do the adjacent surroundings affect a sense of "place"? perhaps this becomes an investigation of the symbiosis of immediate periphery.

who represents a welcomed addition to an area?

more questions to come.
